Orchid Care for Beginners

I'm exploring adding two orchids to my bedroom.

When friends and family visited my apartment, they told me I had a green thumb—a lot. I didn’t think so, and I still don’t.

But if I’ve learned anything from gardening and introducing succulents and bonsai plants to my different apartments throughout my 20s, it’s about the relationships we form with plants over time.

We change our entire lives and schedules to create the best environment for plants in our care.

Learning where the light shines in our homes. Water. Soil. Nutrients. Pruning. And the experience of watching your plants thrive or die.

I’ve never been good with flowering plants. When I did buy flowering plants, they stayed on my balcony. I’m guessing here, but maybe autumn is an excellent time to bring a baby orchid home. I’ve cared for an orchid once before. I’d like to try again.
